Vacation // Day 1

Today we dropped Cooper off on our way out of town (thanks Wende) and hit the road. We headed south down the 101 through San Francisco. We stopped in Los Gatos for lunch at Mr. Pickles, great little gem, you should go there sometime. Then on to Santa Cruz where we walked the Boardwalk, beach and pier. Then we headed on to Monterey and checked into our little Days Inn hotel (they have free wifi, a must in a hotel pick). We took an hour to chill and then went down to the Monterey Warf to eat some fish ‘n chips and clam chowder. It was good. The funny things is that we ran into a girl who was a part of the Student Ministry at our old church in Fresno. Crazy how a festival like Spirit West Coast will bring Christians from all over flocking to one spot on the coast. Here are some pictures from our first day:
